1. Who we are

Goycho ("we", "us", or "our") operates a hyperlocal marketplace connecting customers in Goa with local kitchens, bakeries, village shops, and delivery partners ("Pilots"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use the Goycho website, progressive web app, or related services (the "Service").

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account details: name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number, password (stored securely via our authentication provider), and profile preferences.
• Delivery information: delivery addresses, village / taluka, landmark instructions, entry codes, and saved locations.
• Order & transaction data: items ordered, restaurant / vendor details, tips, order status history, and payment method selection (for example UPI or cash on delivery).
• Device & usage data: browser type, device identifiers, approximate network information, pages viewed, and interaction logs needed to operate and improve the Service.
• Voice inputs (optional): if you use voice ordering, temporary audio may be processed to understand your order intent. We do not sell voice recordings.

3. Location permissions

With your permission, we may access your device location to suggest nearby villages, estimate delivery areas, show order tracking maps, and help Pilots navigate to pickup or drop-off points. Location access is optional for browsing; some delivery and tracking features may not work fully if you deny permission. You can revoke location access at any time in your device or browser settings.

Pilot location data shared during an active delivery is used only to power live tracking for that order and related operational needs, and is subject to our access controls.

4. How we use your information

• Create and manage your account and orders
• Coordinate fulfilment between customers, vendors, and Pilots
• Process payments or confirm cash-on-delivery arrangements
• Send order updates, service notices, and (where permitted) marketing
• Improve safety, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot the Service
• Comply with applicable Indian laws and respond to lawful requests

5. Payment handling

Depending on the payment method you choose, payment details may be processed by third-party payment service providers (for example UPI apps or payment gateways). Goycho does not store full card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers. Payment confirmation status, method labels, and order amounts may be stored so we can reconcile orders, handle refunds where applicable, and provide customer support.

For cash on delivery, your order and contact details are shared with the assigned vendor and Pilot as needed to complete delivery and collect payment.

6. How we share information

We may share personal information with:

• Vendors and Pilots solely to fulfil your order
• Infrastructure, authentication, messaging, maps, and payment processors
• Professional advisors or authorities when required by law

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing.

7. Data retention & security

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. We use industry-standard safeguards (such as encrypted transport and access controls), but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, where applicable), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent for optional processing such as location or voice features. 9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
